On March 2nd, I had the privilege of participating in the event “The Traveling Tea Room” at Haneda Airport Garden, where I, along with Master Carpenter Akira Ichikawa, unveiled the Mobile Tea Room, a portable, assemble-on-site tea room.
This tea room, which can be set up in just one hour, embodies both traditional Japanese carpentry and the spirit of the tea ceremony. On the day of the event, visitors from both Japan and abroad had the opportunity to experience tea ceremony rituals and learn about traditional woodworking, such as the art of plane-shaving. We were honored to receive attention from numerous media outlets.
I am truly grateful for this remarkable opportunity and look forward to continuing to share the beauty of Japanese culture with the world.
